Residential Counselor – Third Shift

We are offering up to a $2,000 Bonus for Residential Counselors!

Pay: $17.00 to $21.00 Rates are based on experience and education

Differentials: $1.00 per hour for Weekday Overnight and Weekend First and Second shifts and $2.00 per hour for Weekend Overnight and Weekend Shifts

*Bonuses are pro-rated based on regular hours and do not apply to relief/per diem positions.

Crystal Springs Residential Special Education School is a residential treatment setting for children, adolescents, and young adults with complex special needs. The program specializes in providing 24-hour / 7-day per week comprehensive care including on site education, around the clock nursing services, rehabilitative services – OT, PT, SPL, family services, behavioral services, and residential care staff. Our students reside in homes along an interior road on our 44-acre campus, which includes a heated indoor therapeutic pool, sensory room, technology lab, universally accessible tree house and playground, gymnasium, medical services building, and classrooms. (We’re located just off Route 24 in Assonet, MA. MBTA-Train is slated to start running on 2023. We’re located 1 mile from the Freetown MBTA Stop.)

Crystal Springs Provides Free On-Site Training for You to:

  • Develop skills to support our students to overcome challenges they face in becoming as independent as they can be.
  • Communicate with students with different communication abilities.
  • Assist students with their activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, cooking and taking care of their households.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment by providing positive behavior supports and trauma informed care.

Description of Duties:

Residential Counselors help our students overcome the challenges they face in becoming as independent as they can be, and in having as much choice and control over their lives as possible. We do this by filling the gap between what they’ve already accomplished and what they still want to achieve in all aspects of their lives, including personal hygiene, cooking, taking care of their households, making friends, enjoying good health, recreation, and community involvement.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Maintain a valid driver's license to transport students
  • Remain awake during overnight shift to ensure safety and wellbeing of students
  • Able to work holidays and weekend shifts as required
  • Able to perform activities of daily living
  • Able to perform physical interventions as necessary to provide the safest environment for our students
  • Satisfactory background check, driving record, and drug screen results
  • US work authorization
